Who we work with

Three projects we see every week in North Atlanta

The carpet has to go

You have two kids and a dog, the upstairs carpet is on its last legs, and you want one type of flooring through the whole level — durable enough that you stop worrying about spills. We’ll walk you through wear layers, waterproof cores, and where LVP genuinely beats hardwood, because we install both.

Selling, and the floors show it

Your agent hinted the original hardwoods look tired. Refinishing at $3–8 per square foot is a fraction of a price reduction, and redone floors are what buyers notice in the first ten seconds. If your floors are actually fine, we’ll tell you that too.

Keys in hand, truck in 30 days

You just closed, and there’s a window before the furniture arrives. Floors, stairs, and paint are easiest in an empty house — one contract, one schedule, keyed to your move-in date. The easiest project you’ll ever do is the one that happens before you live there.

How it works

Five steps, each one in writing

In-home consultation

We measure, look under the carpet, check the subfloor, and listen. No pressure, no countdown offers.

Samples on your floor

Stain and plank samples go on your actual boards, in your light — not a 2-inch swatch at a counter.

Itemized written proposal

Tear-out, leveling, materials, labor — line by line, with contingencies priced up front so surprises change a line item, not the deal.

The work

Dust-contained sanding, clean job sites, a written day count. Floors, stairs, kitchen, bath, and paint can run on one schedule — one crew, one contract.

Walkthrough

We walk every room with you, fix what you flag, and leave you the care guide for your finish.

Flooring questions Alpharetta homeowners actually ask

How much does it cost to refinish hardwood floors in Alpharetta?

Most Alpharetta refinishing jobs run $3–8 per square foot in 2026: about $3–5 for a straightforward sand and polyurethane, $4–6 with a stain change, and $6–8 or more for full restoration with board repairs. A typical 800-square-foot main level lands between $2,400 and $6,400. We publish these ranges so you can check any quote — including ours — against them.

Can you live in your house while floors are refinished?

Usually, yes. Dustless sanding systems capture the overwhelming majority of dust at the machine, and water-based finishes are low-odor and typically walkable the same evening. Oil-based finishes are the ones that put families in hotels for 2–5 days. We tell you which finish your job calls for before you commit, so the decision is yours with the trade-offs on the table.

How long does it take to refinish hardwood floors?

The average refinishing job takes 3–5 days. With a water-based finish you can typically walk on the floors the same evening and move furniture back in 2–3 days; oil-based finishes add cure time. You get the day count in writing before work starts, keyed to your move-in or listing date if you have one.

LVP or hardwood — which is better for my home?

It depends on the room and how long you’ll own the house. Hardwood, at $6–15 per square foot installed, can be refinished for decades and carries more weight at resale in North Atlanta’s $600K-plus homes. Quality LVP, at $5–12 per square foot installed, wins in basements, baths, and anywhere water and a houseful of kids and dogs are the reality. We install both, so the consultation is about your house — not our margin.

Who actually does the work on my floors?

Ask any contractor this question and get the answer in writing — it is the root of most flooring horror stories. With us it is one crew and one contract: the company you hire is accountable for every trade on the job, from tear-out to the final coat of paint, and there is exactly one number to call.

Can one contractor handle floors, kitchen, bath, and paint together?

Yes — that is the point of one-stop general contracting. One consultation, one contract, one schedule, one accountable company across every trade. You skip the gaps where one contractor’s delay wrecks the next one’s start date, which matters most in the window between closing and move-in day.

Is this a fair quote for a flooring job?

Compare it to the Atlanta market ranges we price from: refinishing $3–8 per square foot, hardwood installation $6–15, LVP $5–12, carpet $5–8, and stairs at $100–250 per step. A fair quote itemizes what pushes a job up the range — tear-out, subfloor leveling, stain changes, stairs. If a comparable written quote comes in lower than ours, we beat it by 5%.
